I've been extremely busy these last few weeks...ok, this last month...so no radio shows. If I run out of better things to do, I may just hop back into this radio thing whenever. We'll see!

Audiophoria #4 - 3/28/09
Its about time for the fourth installment of Audiophoria! As I promised last week, I'll be doing pt. 2 of my Nineties Alt Rock series (1995-2000). I have to admit, this playlist was a little harder to compile than the early 90's playlist. Seems like a lot of good bands dropped out and made way for newer crappier bands in the late 90's... I decided to diverge from the Alt Rock format just a bit to make my job a little easier, so we'll be hearing a wider range of music from the late 90's including some industrial, electronic, and indie rock. I guess you can only hear so many Pearl Jam songs before you want to start listening to something else...heh
Anyway, tune in Saturday night (March 28th) at 10pm CST (11pm EST/8pm PST) for Part 2 of my Nineties music series, and don't forget to wear your flannel!

Welcome! - Audiophoria #3 - 3/14/09
Welcome to the Audiophoria blog! Audiophoria is an internet radio show that airs exclusively on SpiritPlants Radio, Saturday evenings at 10pm CST. Each week, Audiophoria picks a different musical theme as a feature. My first show featured new-ish indie rock, and last week's Show #2 was Part 1 of my two part series: 90's Alt. Rock (1990-1995). Click the links above to stream the audio archives or check out the archive list along the right side of the page.
This weekend (3/14), LeAnn is bringing you a 1 hour long T. Rex retrospective. Here's what Last.fm has to say regarding T. Rex:

This weekend (3/14), LeAnn is bringing you a 1 hour long T. Rex retrospective. Here's what Last.fm has to say regarding T. Rex:
"Initially a psychedelic folk-rock combo called Tyrannosaurus Rex, T.Rex was a primary force in glam rock, thanks to the creative direction of guitarist/vocalist Marc Bolan (born Mark Feld). Bolan created a deliberately trashy form of rock and roll that was proud of its own disposability, which stood in contrast to the low-key whimsical poetry of the earlier duo. T.Rex’s music borrowed the underlying sexuality of early rock & roll, adding dirty, simple grooves and fat distorted guitars, as well as an overarching folky/hippie spirituality that always came through the clearest on ballads."So if this sounds interesting to any of you or if you're already a closet T. Rex fan, be sure to tune in Saturday evening at 10pm CST!
